About

Your Captain

Captain Peter has his Masters Captain's license through the United States Coast Guard. In addition to being a water enthusiast, he is an avid racquetball player and also enjoys downhill skiing, biking and an occasional round of golf.

Having grown up on Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota much of his life, Captain Peter is now a full-time resident of Florida. He has done both sail and motor boating throughout many parts of the world.

In addition to numerous locations in the lower United States, he has fished in remote corners of Canada, Alaska, Costa Rica, Micronesia, Europe, throughout the Caribbean, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. He is a PADI certified SCUBA diver and has done a variety of day and night dives.

Along with providing backwater adventures around Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Captain Peter relishes spending time with his wife, Barb, two sons, a daughter and their mates, six grandchildren and a great network of friends. "My motto for life, " says Peter, "is to live each day as if it's your last, and enjoy every minute of the ride. And, if things ever get too intense, have a salad, eat a peach and strike a smile.”

The Boat

Parker is one of the premier and reputable boat builders in the world. It is unique in that it handles well in all types of weather and wave conditions, yet it only draws a foot and half of water. This allows for getting into backwater areas that few boats of similar size can access. The boat has a spacious ten-foot beam (width) so it’s easy to maneuver around.

There is a covered T-top and dodger up front providing shade and shelter from inclement weather if it arises. There is no head (bathroom) but if you are not shy, the half bath is always available. Additionally, we can always find a spot to park or hit a facility if nature demands it. Captain Peter is also a member of Boat U.S. and has partner Guides should additional assistance ever be needed. For more information on the reliability of Parker Boats, visit their website at www.parkerboats.net.
